Cyclone Alfred Update
Important Update
An update for clients who have events this weekend in South East Queensland that may be impacted by cyclone Alfred. My Ultimate is an events agency and as such has paid the vendors involved for your event. We do not have the funds you have paid us as they have been paid to the vendors involved in your event. Please keep this in mind that whilst we are trying to help you we can't guarantee that all vendors involved with your booking will have all options available.
Option 1: If you want to go ahead with your event as planned.
If this is the case, and the suppliers involved in your booking are open and operating, you can proceed with your event as normal providing the government advice is that you are able to do so.
Option 2: You want to postpone your event.
If you want to postpone your event, we will happily postpone your event and charge no fees from My Ultimate, and work with you to rebook your event within the next 6 weeks. Note this will be subject to availability. Note also that whilst My Ultimate will not charge any fees for this, vendors involved in your booking may elect to charge change and postpone fees and whilst we will throw the weight of My Ultimate behind trying to get these waived, we cannot guarantee what the external providers of your booking will waive their change fees. We will inform you of any applicable postpone fees and these will need to be paid upfront before postponing your booking. You can then rebook with us for the same event for the same amount of people, subject to availability, within the next 6 weeks.
Option 3: You want to cancel your event.
If you want to cancel your event, My Ultimate will not charge you any cancellation fees to do so, however we cannot guarantee vendor fees involved as with option 2. If there are any, these will need to be paid up front before cancelling your booking. The total amount paid for your booking (once cancellation fees have been paid) can then be held with My Ultimate in the form of a credit note voucher that can be used towards a future event (you can use this for a weekend away with a group of friends, a birthday or another group event) with one of our packages on our website that is booked and celebrated within the next 12 months. Note this is subject to availability and that credit notes can only be used on our packages on our website, for example they cannot be used for one person to book something for themselves only. Whilst we aim to be flexible and help with this we will not provide a refund in any circumstances as per our cancellation policy as a small business.
Note that regardless of which option you elect to do above, this will apply to the whole group. We cannot and will not be able to issue individual circumstances if say one or two people cannot attend, or half the group want to go ahead and half do not. The decision will need to be made for the whole event, just as your original booking was booked for the entire group.
Our Office:
Please know that we are a small team that is also in South East Queensland and we are also dealing with Cyclone Alfred and it's impact on our business operations, with our office and our staff.
You can communicate with our team via fun@myultimate.com.au please respect that we are dealing with phone lines in the office being down as all of our staff need to work from home due to the storm, and some may have limited access to the internet or power once the storm hits - and email is the best way to contact us.
Thankyou and please stay safe,
Team My Ultimate Hens
