Everyone at this hens reckons they know the bride best. Her sister, the uni girls, the work wife, her mum. Tonight, a drag queen with a microphone and a head full of very personal questions is going to settle it once and for all. Trivia Queen is the hens night where every guest gets a turn in the spotlight, from the friends who have known her since kindergarten to the ones who only met the groom last month. It's brilliant for a big mixed crew of ten or more, bride included, because nobody sits on the sidelines when the questions are about someone they love.
It all begins in your own private room at our CBD cocktail venue, yours for two hours and dressed to impress with pink hues, neon signs, hanging greenery and stunning decor. A round of cocktails on arrival is poured for every guest, and the very first toast belongs to the bride. Cheers, ladies! Then, just as the chatter hits full volume, the door bursts open. In struts your private drag queen, all lashes and rhinestones with a microphone in hand, ready to turn your hens into the most outrageous quiz of your lives.
For one glorious hour she hosts a game of trivia all about the bride and groom, packed with cheeky banter and hilarious call-outs. Slip us the juiciest stories beforehand and watch them turn up in the rounds, or leave it all to her and let her keep everyone guessing. Expect the mums to get unexpectedly competitive and at least one answer so wild the whole room loses it. And the bride? She's front and centre the entire time, blushing furiously and denying absolutely everything. Before your queen sashays off, she jumps in for selfies and group photos, so line the bride up beside her for the shot that ends up pinned to the top of the group chat.
With the scores settled and the room still yours, there's time for any hens games you've planned before the celebration moves out to your reserved seating area in the main dining room. The delicious share plates start arriving for the table, and a bonus cocktail heads straight for your hen, because whoever won the trivia, she's still the queen of the night.
Then it's a quick strut down a Melbourne laneway to the finale. Our glam cocktail lounge is all plush velvet, low lighting, custom neon signs and glittering pendants, and you're straight in with VIP entry and the cover charge waived. Your VIP booth is reserved for the group for two hours, and it comes with a surprise: a bottle of bubbly for your hen. Pop! Once the dance floor starts calling, dance the night away until the booth is just somewhere to leave your handbag.
And when the bride leans over in the booth, bubbly in hand, and tells you it was the most fun she's had in years, you'll be right there beside her to hear it. Trivia champion or not, you're the one who won tonight.
