You're invited to the bride's hens
Everyone she loves, in one room, for a day built entirely around her.
Your organiser has spent months building it around exactly what's important to the bride, and what will make her feel most cherished. Now all that's missing is you!
What the day is like
You start together
Everyone gets collected from one spot and you're all in the same car. So it starts the second you get in, not forty minutes later once the last person has found parking.
Nobody does maths at the table
You know the bit at the end where everyone's on their phone working out who had what and who owes who eleven dollars. That doesn't happen here. It's all paid before the day, in one go, so the only thing in your hand is a glass.
You're expected everywhere you go
Every place you walk into knows you're coming and knows how many of you there are. No hovering at a door, no being folded onto a corner table, nobody asking whether you've got a booking.
we walked right in past all the lines to our private tasting which was so great.
Where you're going
All of this is already sorted
- A car that turns up, waits, and drops you at the next place. Nobody drives, nobody navigates, nobody parks.
- Food that lands when everyone's actually hungry.
- Drinks sorted, so nobody's queuing at a bar.
- Somebody running the whole thing, so nobody in your group has to.
The only times you'll reach for your purse
- Anything extra you order at the bar
- Getting yourself to the pickup point, and home at the end
- Anything you buy on the day because you fell in love with it
The per person figure is in the package details above. That is the full amount, with nothing further to pay on the day.
Your organiser is handling the money and will sort it out with you closer to the time. Some people pay in one go, some prefer to chip away at it. Whatever suits you, work it out with her.
You won't be chased for it, and you won't be the one left holding a bill. We would all much rather be drinking bubbles than talking about bank transfers.
Why this one
Because your organiser got the truth out of her months ago. What she'd love. More usefully, what she would absolutely hate.
Then she went away and got picky. She found a date that survives a wedding, a honeymoon and everybody else's calendar. She went through a long list and crossed off everything that was perfectly lovely but wasn't the bride. She landed on this one on purpose, and if you know her you'll work out why in about four seconds.
Then she put money down to hold it, before she had asked a single one of you for anything.
The one thing she could not sort was being in two places at once. So she handed the running of it to us, which means on the day she is not the one watching the clock and counting heads. She is in the photos, with the rest of you.
I have wanted to do something properly special for her since the day she asked me, and I think this is it. I really hope you can all come. It won't be the same without you.
Everyone's welcome here
A few things worth saying out loud, because people are usually too polite to ask.
You don't have to drink
Plenty of people don't. Tell your organiser nearer the time and it is handled properly rather than as an afterthought. You won't be the only one, and you won't be standing there with a sad glass of water.
You don't have to know everyone
In most groups like this, half the room really only knows the bride. By about the second stop that stops being a thing.
You won't be put on the spot
No speech, no game you have to be good at, nobody dragging you up the front. If you'd rather sit and watch with a drink, that is a completely normal way to spend the day.
You don't have to be good at anything
Nobody's being marked on their painting, their singing or their dancing. The ones who announce they'll be terrible are reliably having the best time by four o'clock.
everyone enjoyed themselves, even the ones that 'can't' paint.
Mums, sisters and aunties absolutely come
These days are better with a range of people in them, not worse. Nobody is too old for this and nothing is pitched at one age group.
even Stephs mum was getting in on the action.

And who we are, since you asked
My Ultimate Hens. Your organiser booked us to run the day. We build hens days in six cities around Australia, with our own crew and our own spaces rather than sending you off to somebody else's.
Anything you want to check, call us on 1300 339 734 or ask below.
Two kinds of guest
The first one
Hearts it about eleven seconds after the link lands, then spends the next four months sending the group outfit screenshots of things she has no intention of buying, and asking whether everyone is doing a theme.
Peak form. She is the reason these days are any fun at all.
The second one
Means to. She genuinely does. Reads it at a red light, thinks "yes, obviously," and resurfaces nineteen days later with "sorry hun only just seeing this."
We've all been the second one. It's one tap and it's right there.
Pop a heart if you're in
Your name is on this list on purpose. Somebody put it there. Find it, tap the heart, and that's the whole job.
It isn't a payment and it isn't binding. Nothing is being decided today. It just tells your organiser you're planning to be there, and it tells the bride her people are coming.
One small thing. Only heart it if you mean it. If you already know you can't come, send your organiser a message instead. She would much rather know now than wonder.
Name not there?
That will be a mistake. Message your organiser and she'll add you in a second.
Ask us anything
Rather than fifteen people asking your organiser the same thing, ask us here and we'll answer it on this page for everyone.
Your name won't be shown. We'll post the answer up above.
The rest of it
Where do I need to be, and when?
One pickup point, and the car waits for everyone. Your organiser will post the address and the time closer to the day, so there's nothing to write down yet.
What do I wear, what do I bring?
Whatever you'd wear to a long lunch you fully intend to enjoy, and a charged phone. That's it. If there's a theme, your organiser will let you know in plenty of time.
Can I come to just part of it?
We'd rather you didn't, and it isn't about the logistics. Knowing what you mean to her, she would much rather have you for the whole thing than for an hour of it. If your day genuinely can't stretch, talk to your organiser and we'll see what's possible.
What if I've paid and then something changes?
Tell your organiser as soon as you know. Things move around, people get sick, work happens. She will work out what's possible with us, and you'll be dealing with an actual person rather than a form.
So. Everyone she loves in one place, a day that runs itself, and her right in the middle of it, being thoroughly spoiled.
You don't have to organise a thing. You just have to be there.
Go on. Pop a heart on it.
Take me to the listJust for you
Guests never see this bit. Don't paste the link you're on right now into the chat, use the plain one without the tag on the end.
This should fill itself in from your booking. If it is blank or wrong, put it right here and it updates every mention of you on the page.
Shows up on the page under your name. Two lines is plenty. It's the bit that makes it yours.
Hearted so far
Loading.
Haven't hearted yet
These are the ones worth a direct message. Hearts are a good sign, not a headcount, so keep working from who has actually paid.
