I have been where you are now!
- I was asked last year to be a bridesmaid for one of my besties (funny story, she was a Grooms Woman in my wedding and since then, I seem to have stolen her from my husband… whoops! Its not my fault I’m a good time, haha!)
- I found My Ultimate Hens and booked our hens weekend!
- We had the best time, sooooo I decided to be brave and email them saying if they are ever hiring, helping make hens events come to life would be my dream job!!
- And then when a position finally came up you bet your sweet cheeks I pounced on it.
- And the rest is history!!!
Think of me as your hype girl, planner, problem solver & hens party expert, all rolled into one.

I dont think ive ever been to a hens party that was so stunning!
From initial contact to the actual day its everything was flawless. You can really tell that there was a whole amount of love, time and care that goes into making sure our bride had the most unforgettable day. We were really stuck trying to bring our vision to life (2 day event, big group and mixed age vibes) and the team handled everything with such confidence we were finally able to relax.
Everyone kept saying we had planned her such a gorgeous day but we couldnt have done it without My Ultimate Hens, thank you ladies! We will be back! Xxx

Q & A with me
What’s something most people don’t realise about how you work until they’ve actually spoken to you?
OMG how involved it is.
Honestly, it is so much more involved than you could understand without being on this side of it. When we say there are 1000’s of moving parts, its not just something to say. There is so much that goes into making sure someone has the day they dream of!
What do you think it actually feels like to be the person organising the hens?
Honestly speaking from personal experience, the thing no one says out loud is that it feels totally overwhelming at times. Your priorities are constantly torn between giving them a day that they’ll never forget, but also making sure it’s enough for everyone to show up.
I also think there’s a lot of frustration that doesn’t get voiced. For example, you know the plan is something your bride will LOVE, but everyone thinks they have a say and want to pick it apart.
Feeling like you have to get everyone’s emotional buy in to the day feels really frustrating, when at the end of the day, they should WANT to be there because they love the guest of honour and want to celebrate them!
What’s a memorable convo you have had with a bridesmaid recently?
Oh yes, so she was dealing with a very low key bride, non fussy but not after anything super hyped. She was also inviting people of mixed ages and with mobility limitations, so the organiser was struggling to find something that fit but still felt celebratory. I could tell instantly she was just spinning about how to make it all happen, considering it wasn’t very ‘hens party’ as she had imagined it.
Firstly, these are all super common things. Hens aren’t a one size fits all, so I let her know that and reassured her that something mild is totally fine and that mild doesn’t at all mean boring.
I remember hearing her actually sigh and once she had that dump of what had been going on for her off her shoulders, knowing that someone was there to help, she was able to actually lay it out and work through key ideas.
By the end of the call she was excited again to be in the position she was in, as it wasn’t feeling so heavy for her. And when we found the package she was in full blown excited mode again, which was just the best!!
A first-time maid of honour, on Google
I was a MOH for the first time and feeling the pressure because she is not into the tacky hens thing at all. What I liked most was that Britt actually understood the difference between 'things to do on a hens' and planning a good hens that felt like an actual celebration not a bunch of bookings together because obviously I could have booked a cocktail class and dinner or whatever myself obviously. I only realised after that I just wouldn't have known which combination would suit our group, what order to do it all in or half the little details and personalised touches for the bride that made the whole night what it was. So there's definitely more thought behind these packages than I realised before booking and she absolutely loved it and apparently I'm now the designated event organiser of the group. Would 100% use them again and a big thankyou to Britt and Maddi as well for everything that went into making it so good!

Motherhood is my greatest role, but remembering me is my superpower.

Who I am outside of work!
A little peek at me outside of work hours too
Honestly, since having my babies I totally lost myself in motherhood. I did nothing for myself and found myself in a total hole.
I then went back to the gym as a way to escape at the end of the day. Just me, my headphones and some screamy music or maybe my spicy lil audiobook. Yes I smut and train. You’d pass out if you heard the things in my ears while I’m lifting weights.
And honestly, it’s the most me thing I can think of, because it’s the only thing I do in a day that I do for me.
Ok, other than asking my husband to bring me home a Maccas caramel sundae and a small hot chippies to dip in it.
Real life. Real me. No filter. Just vibes.
So you’ve met me
Now for the important bit: you and the bride!!
Enough about me (finally, haha). Here’s what I wish someone had told me when I was the one holding the group chat.
From one MOH to another
Britt’s advice 01
You already know the bit that matters
Everyone thinks planning a hens is about finding the activity. It’s not. It’s about knowing her, and you’ve been doing that for years.
Nobody else could write that list. Not the group chat, not the third cousin, not me. You can. That’s exactly why she asked you.
You bring her. I bring a team that has been doing hens since 2011. Together she gets a weekend that could only ever be hers.
Stuff you know about her without even trying
- Cries at every wedding. Will 100% cry at her own hens.
- Spicy marg, extra salt, every single time
- Knows every word to Mr Brightside
- Hates surprises (secretly loves them)
- Absolutely no 7am starts
- That one dance move. Since year 9.
Britt’s advice 02
Pretty on Pinterest. Right on the night.
The cute bit is easy to find. It’s everything around the cute bit that makes or breaks a hens, and none of that ever makes the board.
A venue that puts up with a hens
A venue that lights up when the sash walks in
You can’t see that difference on a reel. Knowing it is literally our job.
The stuff I’m thinking about that never makes the Pinterest board
- Is the host into hens, or just running a class?
- Can Aunty Jo do it in her good shoes?
- What are we all doing between the fun bits?
- Will the venue be excited we’re coming?
- Is the bride in the middle of it, or watching it?
Britt’s advice 03
“Nothing went wrong” isn’t the same as “she loved it”
On paper
- Everyone showed up
- Nobody got lost
- The photos are cute
In your gut
I think she had fun…?
The text I want you getting at midnight
ok how did you KNOW!!! best day of my life
The bride, 11:52pm
That’s the one I’m chasing for you. And you get to be right there when she says it, in the photos, not on the phone.
Whenever you’re ready
What happens when you text me back
Same me, same number, whenever suits you. Here’s how it goes from there.
You text me back
Or call, or email. Whichever is easiest from wherever you are.
You tell me about her
How you know her, what she’s into and the one feeling you want her walking away with. We call it a hens disco, because we love a disco.
I find the one that’s her
I take it back to my hens hype team and we build your Pinkprint. Blueprints are boring.
We walk through it together
Every question answered, every i dotted. Then you take it to the girls as the one who found it.
The team behind me
- Female founded in 2011
- 4.7 on Google
- Easy Weddings Five Star Supplier, every year since 2012
- Read what organisers and brides said
So yes, I am very much a real human over here
not a robot in a pink headset pretending to help find the perfect package for a hens!
I can’t wait to help you find the perfect hens package and for you to be able to be part of the moment on the day too.
You can literally text me back, call me on 0408 622 519 or at the office on 1300 339 734, or email me at cocktailhour@myultimate.com.au anytime.
If I am helping another bridesmaid, MOH or hen (or on the phone checking when my Uber Eats burrito will be delivered) when you reach out, I promise I will always come back to you as soon as I can.
