When did being in charge of hens become a chore?

Somewhere along the line I think being asked to plan the hens went from something to celebrate to something that can feel like a chore, I am proudly rewritting the chaos and am super absolutely passionate about making sure it feels

Who I am outside of work

Who I am off the clock (pretty much the same tbh)

I love pizza.

My guilty pleasure is ordering Uber Eats when I already have food in the fridge.

I love music festivals.

Something people assume about me and get wrong is that I’m super busy and hyped all the time. Truth is, I do get genuinely excited when I really love something, like planning events or beating my friends at pool, but I’m just as happy chilling out and playing games to switch off.

I’m proudly a bit of a nerd. Boardgames and video games both have my heart.

I love being social when it involves Mexican food and margaritas, but I’m just as happy being social with my couch and my BFF talking shit.

My go to Maccas order, don’t judge me, is a Filet O Fish.

My fave hens package is almost impossible to pick, but it would have to be anything with one of our My Ultimate Hens drag queens, because those gals can singgggg!

Enough about me (and the beard). Here’s what I genuinely love about helping the person organising it all, which is you.

10 things I genuinely love about helping hens organisers

  1. You do not need to have it all figured out

    Some people come in with a full plan. Some have no clue where to start. I genuinely like meeting people wherever they are at and helping from there.

  2. I know it can feel like a lot

    Budgets, opinions, dates, numbers, group chat chaos. Being the organiser sounds fun until you are the one trying to juggle all of it at once.

  3. I like making it all feel less overwhelming

    A big part of what I do is helping sort through the noise so it feels clearer, more doable, and way less full on.

  4. I would rather be useful than generic

    I am not here to throw random ideas at you. I would rather ask the right questions and help point you towards a package that genuinely suits your group.

  5. I know how easy it is for plans to go pear shaped

    Before this job I thought planning was easy. Now I know the little details matter, and a lot of the usual stuff ups can be avoided when the plan actually fits.

  6. I can be honest with you

    If something is not the right fit, I will say it. I would rather be upfront than let you head in the wrong direction.

  7. I love when the right package just clicks

    One of my favourite moments is when you can picture the bride in the moment and know straight away, yep, that package is the one.

  8. The right package means you get to enjoy it too

    It is not just about having a plan. It is about knowing you are not going to spend the whole day managing logistics instead of being there with the bride.

  9. I like helping organisers feel more confident

    A lot of people just want to know they are on the right track. If I can help make it all feel more sorted and more exciting, that is a win.

  10. It is a pretty cool job, honestly

    Getting to help someone pull off a bloody good celebration for a person they care about is something I genuinely love.

Best bit?

Helping someone find the right package and knowing they are not going to spend the whole day running around. They get to actually be there, celebrate with the bride, and enjoy it too.

We booked the All Out Luxe Weekend package with My Ultimate Hens and it honestly exceeded expectations. Everything was just really fun and ran so smoothly, which meant we could really celebrate on the actual weekend as well.

The team were also just like super lovely to deal with (especially James!) and made the whole experience feel really special. I genuinely feel like I got to do my best friend proud with the hens she wanted and absolutely loved.
