For the bride whose favourite sound is all her girls laughing together. Fifty Shades of Clay is for six or seven of you, bride included, and it's small enough that everyone sees every masterpiece up close.
Once you've booked, our hens games and printables arrive. You'll get custom invite templates for the girls as well.
Your long table is reserved out on the balcony (inside if the weather has other ideas), and a glass of bubbly is poured for each of you. Then the aprons go on and our artist host brings out the clay. This is cheeky clay, sometimes called erotic pottery: an artist-guided air dry clay workshop where each of you shapes her own cheeky decorative keepsake.
One friend promises hers will be very classy. Another asks how much clay she's allowed. Someone goes quiet for twenty minutes, then unveils hers like it's opening night. The bride leans across to inspect your work and asks, very politely, whether it's finished. It needs personality, apparently. Every piece goes home in its own box to finish air drying, a cheeky little keepsake with an entire afternoon behind it.
Then you step inside to pink booths glowing under neon. Tapas arrive to share and a cocktail is set down in front of the bride, while the sculptures are discussed in more detail than anyone expected.
A two minute stroll takes you down to an underground laneway lounge, where you're in free and your booth is waiting with a bottle of bubbly. That's when the box you've been hiding since it arrived at your place finally comes out: custom hens cookies ordered with a cheeky theme, and her name on one of them. Watch her face. The dance floor is right there if anyone has moves left, and the cocktail bar side is there for everyone still debating proportions.
She'll keep that little sculpture for years, and every time she looks at it she'll know exactly who organised the whole day.
