The door clicks shut behind you and somebody reads the first clue out loud. Your bride? Already laughing far too hard to be any help at all. This is Break Out the Bubbly, the hens night for a crew who would rather do something together than sit politely around a table waiting for the drinks to arrive. With just the six of you, nobody gets stuck at the far end and everybody gets a job, from chief code cracker to official panic screamer. First you break out. Then the bubbly comes out. Her hens, her rules!
Your first stop is our incredible escape room venue in the heart of the Melbourne CBD, where the group splits into teams for a fifty-minute escape room experience. The clock starts and the race is on to get out using the fewest clues. Expect a lot of shrieking and at least one moment where the quiet one cracks the whole thing wide open. Feeling generous? Let the bride turn the final lock, then watch her take full credit for the entire operation. When the last door swings open, grab the photo: flushed faces and arms in the air, with a bride in the middle who looks like she just pulled off a heist. It's a fully licensed venue too, so the bar is right there for a victory toast to your hen.
Now the pressure is off and the pink is on. Next up is our neon-kissed CBD cocktail venue, where pink velvet and cherry blossoms sit beneath glowing greenery and your reserved seating is waiting for the group. Then a round of cocktails on arrival is poured, one for every girl at the table, and the first toast of the night goes to the great escape. Clink clink! Then the delicious share plates start arriving for the table while the debrief gets louder: who panicked, who cheated a little, who wants a rematch and who still swears that last clue made no sense. Right on cue, a bonus cocktail is heading straight for your hen, because breaking out is thirsty work and she is the guest of honour. The beautiful decor and gold accents flatter everyone, and those glowing Xs and Os on the wall are practically begging to be your backdrop.
Just when the night has found its groove, it's a quick teeter round the corner to our hidden Melbourne laneway bar for the finale. This glam cocktail lounge is all plush velvet booths, low lighting, custom neon signs and glittering pendants, and you skip straight past the fuss with VIP entry and the cover charge waived. Your VIP booth is reserved for two hours with the whole group tucked in together. Then comes the moment she won't see coming: a surprise bottle of bubbly for your hen, arriving at the booth like the grand prize for a job well done. Pop! That's the cork this whole night has been building to. And when the music calls, the dance floor is right on your doorstep, so dance the night away.
