Petals & Promises brings ten or more of her girls together in flower crowns, and they've met her in very different places. A few go back years, others only met her when the wedding planning began. Today they all get to share her.
First stop is a reserved booth in a riverside cocktail bar, and the bottle of bubbly is opened for the table. Your My Ultimate Hens artist host lays out fresh and dried florals and greenery, ties on the aprons and starts everyone off with the basics.
Making crowns side by side gives everyone something easy to say. Can you hold this for a second? Which one do you like better? The bride is asked for her opinion every few minutes and loves every bit of it. Each girl builds a crown of her own, and the bride's goes on first.
Then the crowns head outside to a reserved table by the water. Every girl gets a glass of bubbly, the charcuterie boards land in the middle and a cocktail arrives for the bride. Glasses go up to her, and to the wedding ahead. The girl who needed a hand with her crown earlier now knows exactly who to ask for another photo.
The evening carries on in a hidden laneway bar, with reserved seating, a bottle of bubbly and another cocktail for the bride. By now it's hard to tell which girls only met this afternoon.
