Blend it on the balcony, then wear it out that night. Fragrance & Flutes is for the bride who would love a signature scent and wants her favourite girls around her while she makes it. Your small crew, bride included, makes a perfume each and then takes it out for the night.
It starts at a long balcony table set aside for your group, a glass of bubbly in every hand. You all dressed up for her, so the aprons go on over the outfits. Your My Ultimate Hens perfume host brings everything for the making to your table and talks you through it.
First you meet the single notes one at a time, and the table fills up with opinions. Your host explains how a perfume is built in layers, from the bright notes you notice first to the ones that settle in last. Then it's over to you. One friend changes her mind four times before she settles. The bride gets a lot of very sincere advice from people who adore her. And you're not watching from the side. You have a perfume to make and a bride to celebrate, too.
Then comes the little bottle. Every girl's blend goes into a 30ml glass bottle with a custom label, and a personalised scent profile card goes with it. She is holding something she made at the bride's hens, and it is ready for its first outing. The aprons come off. The perfume goes on.
Inside, everything goes pink and the mood turns brighter. Somewhere between the first plates of tapas passed round the table and the cocktail that arrives just for her, the bride starts collecting compliments on her perfume. Wrists get offered across the table, and every girl's blend has its moment.
The last scene belongs to a tucked-away laneway bar. Your seats are reserved and a bottle of bubbly is waiting for the table. There's another cocktail for the bride, and another reason to raise a glass. She arrives at the last bar already wearing what she made this afternoon, with the girls who helped her make it right beside her.
Later, when that little bottle sits on her dressing table, it has a whole night behind it. Her new perfume has a first-night story, and you are all in it. You knew this was her kind of night, and you're right there beside her with your own little bottle.
