Later, the Ultimate Hens Bachelorette Pad Apartment means swimsuits, grazing boxes and a pool, spa, sauna and steam room to work through. The night belongs to our rooftop bar, with bubbly, share plates and one bonus cocktail just for her. Demanding stuff. The girls will cope.

Some hens are about adventure. Veils, Nails & Bubbles Weekend is about lying very still while somebody else does the work. The bride has been answering wedding questions for months, so this weekend the hardest question on the table is which polish. Her girls have kindly agreed to suffer through it with her. Tough weekend, but somebody has to do it.
First job: manicures. Our beauty bar has your seating reserved and every girl's glass of bubbly is poured as everyone settles in for a 60 minute deluxe manicure. Hands are scrubbed, then massaged, and then the real work begins. Gel or regular? Classic red, barely there nude, or something that seemed like an excellent idea after the bubbly arrived? The bride has picked a dress and a date this year, but never with this many consultants. Her surprise cocktail turns up mid deliberation, which helps. If one bubbly becomes two, the bar is right there.
Afternoon headquarters is the Ultimate Hens Bachelorette Pad Apartment. Swimsuits go on before anyone has properly unpacked, and a grazing box of sweet and savoury bits lands at the door right on cue. The building has a pool, a spa, a sauna and a steam room, and each one deserves thorough research. Fresh nails are held carefully above the water like they're on loan. Pool. Spa. Steam. Repeat if necessary. Actually, very necessary.
Eventually everyone has to leave the water. Getting ready takes twice as long as usual, because every girl keeps tilting her hand to catch the light on her new nails like she's just got engaged. The bride, who actually has just got engaged, does it most of all. Nobody minds one bit.
The rooftop comes next. At our rooftop bar your space is reserved, the bubbly is a glass each, the share plates go round, and the bride's bonus cocktail is hers alone. The discounted cocktail menu makes another round feel less like a choice and more like sticking to the itinerary. You can stay on at our rooftop bar until close, and after a day like this, the girls have earned it.
Home at the Bach Pad, the couch debrief puts the best polish to a vote. Hers wins, obviously, though one bold shade picks up a respectful minority. One girl has already nodded off mid sentence.
Manicures admired, grazing demolished, the spa tested from every angle and the rooftop handled with great professionalism. It was a gruelling weekend of sitting very still. Somehow, the girls pulled through.
