The wedding to-do list can wait a weekend. Fries Before The Aisle Weekend starts with bottomless brunch at our cocktail bar by the river: two hours of drinks and a brunch main each. Then it's an afternoon on the couch at the Ultimate Hens Bachelorette Pad Apartment with the wine you brought, and the pool and spa in the building. Later come pizzas and the all-important fries at our riverside restaurant, with bubbly for every girl and a cocktail made for the bride, then a laneway VIP booth and a bottle of bubbly. Plenty about a wedding is negotiable. Her girls and the fries are not.

Before The Aisle, The Girls Get A Date. Fries Before The Aisle Weekend.
The wedding comes with a to-do list as long as the aisle itself. This weekend goes straight to the top of it. Fries Before The Aisle Weekend gives the bride and the girls who love her a whole Melbourne weekend built on the right priorities, starting with brunch and finishing in a booth. Everything else can wait its turn.
First on the list: bottomless brunch, and a proper one. The table is booked at our high end cocktail bar by the river, and for two hours the cocktails, wine, beer and bubbles keep arriving while everyone tucks into a brunch main each. It's a polished spot, so a tiara or a sash is perfect. One update turns into three, somebody remembers the thing she absolutely meant to tell everyone, and the next round lands right on cue. Convenient.
After that, the Ultimate Hens Bachelorette Pad Apartment claims the afternoon, the part of the weekend nobody bothers to schedule. Open the wine you brought, claim a corner of the couch and let the brunch conversation keep rolling. The pool and spa in the building are there if anyone fancies a dip.
Eventually the outfits come out and the Bach Pad switches into getting ready mode. Makeup bags spill across the bench and the bride holds two tops in the air for a vote. She listens carefully to every opinion, then wears exactly the one she was always going to wear. A time-honoured tradition.
Next stop, our riverside restaurant, where bubbly is poured for every girl at your reserved table, the bride's cocktail lands in front of her and the pizzas and salads follow. Then there they are: the fries that earned naming rights to the entire weekend. They go in the centre, where etiquette says they belong to everybody and the last one becomes a matter of quiet diplomacy. Fries before the aisle. We don't make the rules.
After the fries, it's our laneway cocktail lounge for the dancing. The cover charge is taken care of, the VIP booth is reserved for a full two hours, and a bottle of bubbly for the group comes with it. The booth becomes home base, and the dancefloor steals the girls one track at a time. At some point the bride grabs every hand within reach and declares THIS IS OUR SONG, about a song that has belonged to the group for roughly three minutes. Nobody argues. It's hers now.
Later the girls head home to the Bach Pad, shoes in one hand and several unfinished conversations in the other. Water all round and one final couch debrief, with her song played just once more for old times' sake.
