Hens party theme questions

How do you choose a hens party theme for the bride?

Start with her personality, not what is trending. Think about what she loves doing with her people: singing, dancing, eating, making things or being looked after. If she loves anything maximalist, After-Hours Glam or Mob Wife Glam. If she would watch Mamma Mia on repeat, you have your answer. If she has always secretly wanted a drag queen to know her story, it’s a Drag Night. The theme should feel like her, not like Instagram.

Does everyone have to dress up?

No. Give every theme a one-piece version, such as a hat, a colour or a pair of boots, so nobody has to buy a whole outfit. The people who want to go all in will, and the photos still look like a theme.

Can you mix two hens party themes?

Yes, if they share a mood: disco and cowgirl, Mamma Mia and a Mediterranean long lunch, or a crafternoon that turns into cocktails. Two themes that pull in different directions usually end up as neither.

What if we don’t want a theme at all?

Then don’t have one. A theme is a tool, not a rule. A long lunch, a spa day or a night built around what she loves is a theme in everything but name.
